Sun, 17 February 2008 Big Brother 9 is here. In February?? Well, Babe and Mimi are back and ready to talk about this supposed season of "Big Brother". What in world have they done to us this time..? Good thing there's other stuff to talk about, Survivor, American Idol, Lost, porn, (huh?). Well, we missed all of our listeners and hope that a few of ya's are around to throw us some feedback and say hi. We all may have to suffer through this "season" of "Big Brother" but maybe we can meet here and talk about other stuff too. Glad to be back! Oh yeah... Hey Babe and Mimi! It's great to have you guys back on the air. As far as big brother goes I do agree that there is certainly not enough diversity this season, even less so than last season but I think Allison Grodner only wants really pretty people for the theme this year so it's really not surprising. As far as the twist goes, I think its a fairly creative idea. You can't think individually how you want to play this game, you are forced to strategize with someone else in the house which opens up a whole new dimension of game strats. Lets just hope there are people in the house smart enough to think with their brain and not with their mouth. I do miss some of the big strategists we have had in past seasons and I'm hoping that allison grodner at least gave each of the house guests an IQ test before letting them be on the show.
As far as the entertainment value goes for this show right now, I am enjoying it immensely. I know I know, the show is completely different from what it use to be but hey it's cheap entertainment and I can't get enough of it no matter how scripted it is.
Anyway, I'm watching survivor and lost also. Lost is great and survivor is good although you guys should definitely watch survivor china because that has been the best season of survivor in a long time.

Ahh yes, so glad to have you back ladies even if every single one of the HG suck ass this season.
I can't wait for you to witness the horror that Josh unleashed on Amanda last night in making fun of her father's suicide. I think his hideousness might even turn you guys into ed fans (giggle) Maybe we can make it our mission to find one redeeming quality about each BB9 HG but it kinda sucks to set yourself up for such massive failure so why bother (sigh)
I don't have much else to add other than did I say they all suck yet? Looking forward to the next podcast & I nominate Josh for the biggest POS HG in BB History.. do I hear a second...

This season of BB is sort of like a NC-17 version of the Real World...but , well, can it get more seedy than that? IT IS!!!!
I got the live feeds, don't think I'll be keeping it after the free trial (I had them all season for BB8 despite Evel Dick). I just think this is has gotten sort of disgusting and pathetic. I can now say that it is truly embarrassing to be a BB watcher. Argh...

Forgot to add, I've been tuning into Showtime here and there so that is also where my opinion comes from -- between the Showtime show, and the feeds, it is just SOOOOO SOOOOOO raunchy and just awful!!! The show itself, is like not even the show anymore. They did not address Josh's partner's up-and-leaving, the fooling around between Matt and Natalie, and several other more minor "plot points" (for...lack... of... a ... better... word)... I just don't know what to do with these people (or with myself - for continuing to tune in. Last night's Showtime show may have been my breaking point for the Showtime show - and the feeds well, I don't like any of them so now, I find the feeds just kinda - yucky...) Might just watch the show on CBS now, with no ancillaries, 'cept for your podcast, and the On The House one..
Trying to pick who I dislike the least instead of who I like the most in the house is tough. I don't really like any of them... This is a very tough group to like. Everyone I thought I liked has dis-redeemed themselves in words and / or actions (I know I just made up that word - haha).

lol, I just finished watching yesterday night's episode (the veto competition) and after reading Kathy and dumbblonde's comments I definitely have to disagree. There has never been so much drama in this house in such a short period if time and it makes for good TV. BB8 pales in comparison (only people I liked were Jen and Danielle) and I must say there is not a single person this season that has not been at least somewhat entertaining. I love the twist, I like the houseguests and I might even get the feeds. Need more Shiela and Adam though lol.

Hey ladies, did you decide to stop doing your podcasts? I miss them. I've been checking back daily for a new one but all I see is the first podcast for this season. Anyway, Big Brother 9 is getting really good right now with all the new twists and a pivotal POV ceremony is happening tomorrow. I really recommend watching the rest of this season---it's quite good. Is there any way I can get you two back on the BB bandwagon?
